A Pattern for Community
Adelaide is a beautiful new neighborhood development in Starkville, MS master planned by Christian Preus. Just a few miles from Mississippi State campus and the Cotton District, Adelaide is inspired by traditional neighborhoods and small towns.
I love being a part of great projects. I love helping create the fabric and language of great neighborhoods. The informal street pattern, intimate scale, and casual green parks all add to the ambiance of this place we call Adelaide.
I currently serve as Town Architect and creator of the architectural languages at Adelaide. Adelaide is distinctively Creole, Acadian, and French Colonial in it's roots. As a pedestrian-oriented neighborhood, Adelaide is designed to foster economic development while offering a lifestyle for all ages. Opportunities to live and work in the same community will exist as well as commute to the numerous nearby urban areas.
